I have this little thing for turning well loved treats into cupcakes, it’s something about the challenge of taking certain ingredients and recreating them in cupcake form that makes me happy! Last year I discovered you can recreate the Snickers filling with two simple ingredients, and I just had to turn it into a cupcake. The first batch was gone before they even saw a camera…and what better time to whip up another batch then for a super bowl party?
Seriously guys, I underestimated just how good these cupcakes were. I had numerous comments on the cupcakes and everybody knew the flavor right away (score!). One person admitted they didn’t think I was human, another was skeptical if I had secret elves, and I might have caught the host removing a cupcake from the microwave that he was hoarding – just in case. The best part, they are SO easy, so so easy…no elves needed! So if you need a cupcake to impress try these guys out!
Sorry guys, I didn’t take any step by steps while making these -darn camera battery was dead! No worries though, it’s easy layers of fluffy chocolate cupcake, “Snickers filling”, peanuts, caramel, then milk chocolate, with a bite of Snickers on top…you can’t mess these up!
Here’s What You’re Going To Need:
Chocolate Cupcakes:
1 Cup Sugar
3/4Cup + 2Tbsp All Purpose Flour
1/4Cup + 2Tbsp Cup HERSHEY’S Cocoa
3/4 Tsp Baking Powder
3/4 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 Cup Boiling Water
Snickers Topping:
1 13oz Jar Marshmallow Fluff
1 Cup Peanut Butter
3/4 Cup Chopped Peanuts
3/4 Cup Carmel Bits
2 Tsp Milk
6oz Melting Chocolate
1 Bag Of Snickers Unwrapped
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cupcake pans with 18 cupcake liners.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, or bowl of an electric mixer, mix together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until fully combined.
Step 3: Add in egg, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Pour in boiling water and beat for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full (I used 3Tbs) and bake at 350 for 16-18 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
Step 5: In the bowl of an electric mixer beat together marshmallow fluff and peanut butter until fully combined. (it will be a soft taffy like consistency)
Step 6: With a large round tip, pipe marshmallow peanut butter mixture (Snickers filling) on to cupcakes. The easiest way to do this is hold the tip in the center of the cupcake just above the top and apply pressure, let the filling spread out on it’s own, once it has spread enough then pull up.
Step 7: Pour chopped peanuts in a small bowl. Turn each cupcake upside down and “dip” into the peanuts. With a small amount of pressure they will stick nicely to the top.
Step 8: In a small glass bowl heat caramel bits and milk in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then melt for 30 more seconds. Stir until all have melted and combined. Spoon caramel over “Snickers filling”.
Step 9: Melt chocolate and spoon on the the top of the caramel. The best way I found was spoon into a little pile in the center then tap the cupcake a bit on the counter so it will spread just a bit. While chocolate is hot add a Snickers unwrapped on the top!
Bonus…you don’t need any cupcake decorating skills! Nobody’s going to judge your chocolate drizzle once their enjoying one of these little guys!

I love Snickers, so these cupcakes sound divine! But not only that… they are decorated so beautifully. I love the layers of ingredients stacked on top of the icing!
Ah, these are so awesome!!! I can’t wait to try them! So fun!
I normally make the Reese’s ones and they are wonderful!! I have been waiting for a long time for this recipe but unfortunately I tried to do the peanut butter with the marshmallow and it would not smooth out at all. Any suggestions? for now i’m going to try the pb frosting from the Reese’s with this and wish me luck!!!
