It’s officially fall, which means it’s time to bust out the pumpkin desserts! YUM! Seriously – are you guys as crazy about pumpkin as I am? I start dreaming up pumpkin desserts sooner and sooner every year…
Here’s what you will need:
1 Bag Wilton Pumpkin Spice Candy Melts
4 Cups Chex Cereal
2 Cups Powdered Sugar
These Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Melts can be found at most stores that carry seasonal Wilton products. (Michael’s, JoAnnes, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart)
Step 1: Measure out 4 cups of Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl.
Step 2: Using a chocolate melter or you microwave melt the Pumpkin Spice Candy Melts.
Step 3: Gently stir the melted Pumpkin Spice melts into the Chex Mix until evenly distributed.
Step 4: Place the powdered sugar in a gallon zip lock, add Chex cereal, then shake until covered OR place the Chex cereal in a strainer and place strainer over a larger bowl. Pour powdered sugar over the Chex cereal then begin to shake the strainer over the bowl. The powder sugar will begin to cover the Chex cereal and excess will fall into the bowl underneath. You may need to repeat a few times until all Chex cereal has been covered and all excess powdered sugar is in the mixing bowl.
I also tossed in a few pumpkin sprinkles, because well you know how I feel about sprinkles! And these cute little pumpkin cupcake liners came from Target, they made the perfect little serving bowls.
Seriously I can’t stop eating these things! Somebody better take them away…Such a perfect fall twist on a classic treat.
