It’s Friday…and I think we could all use a little more chocolate and mocha in our life. Why not celebrate with some brownies right, even better, how about super easy brownies, that will have you reaching for more.
I actually made these brownies right before we moved to the desert. We were headed over to a friends house for one last get together and I was scrambling to find something to make – the packers were coming like the very next day so our food stock was almost down to nothing. I started grabbing a little of this and that…and these were born! Some of my favorite treats come from moments of desperation – I seem to work well under pressure. If you’re in need of a crazy yummy treat to share with very little effort, try these out!
Here’s what you’re going to need:
1 Box Duncan Hines Brownies – Family Size + Ingredients Listed On Box
1 Duncan Hines Starter Icing
1 Packet Of Mocha Frosting Creations
1/2 Cup Toffee Bits
Melting Chocolate To Drizzle (about 3oz.)
Step 1: Mix brownie ingredients as listed on box, and bake at 350, time will depend on pan used. I used a large half sheet pan, lined with parchment paper, and baked for only 16 minutes. I wanted my brownies to be thin and chewy but you can bake yours in a smaller pan for thicker brownies if you desire, you will just need to bake for longer.
Step 2: Once brownies are completely cool, mix Duncan Hines Mocha Frosting Creation packet into the canned frosting.
Step 3: Spread frosting across brownies in a thin even layer. Sprinkle on toffee bits.
Step 4: Melt chocolate and pour into a piping or ziplock bag, cut off tip or corner and drizzle over icing layer.
Step 4: Place brownies in freezer until chocolate has hardened. For easy and clean cutting, let sit in freezer until icing has firmed as well, and then cut with a plastic knife.
Go ahead, indulge a little today!
