Deck the halls with boughs of holly {cupcakes}!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly....fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.  Tis the season to be jolly, fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.  What the lyrics don't tell you is that all that decking of the halls takes time, lots of time. Those Christmas celebrations fill the calendar to the max, Christmas card duty hangs over your head like a brick, and the "gay apparel" is one load too many. Then cookies ... [ read more... ]

Gingerbread Oreo Cupcakes

Run, run, as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man! Unless he's glued to the top of the cupcake....he can't get very far stuck to a pretty pile of buttercream. In that case you may capture and devour - without a blink. At least that's what happened to these little guys...... As the days lead up to Christmas break, the kindergartners at my daughters school have been ... [ read more... ]

Christmas Tree Meringues

Christmas Swirly Cookies

Back in October I posted some really fun Halloween swirly cookies. I really loved making them, they were so bright, fun, and easy! They quickly became one of my most popular posts as they shot around the web.  As soon as I made them I really wanted to try some out in Christmas colors...and here they are! Aren't they fun?! So bright and cheery :) Traditional red and green would be just as ... [ read more... ]

Play Cake Pops!

When my first daughter turned 1 we bought her a wooden play kitchen, table, and lots of wooden food. I'm kinda of a stickler about toys, and I wanted her to steer clear of the chintzy plastic pieces. Since then we have grown quiet the collection of wooden and felt foods, some bought and some handmade. Now we have three girls, and they still play with that same kitchen, table, and food everyday and ... [ read more... ]
